Karlisha Johnson, MSOL, has a decade of experience in workforce development, with a focus on career services, program management, and employer engagement. Her career has centered on creating pathways that connect job seekers and students to training and employment opportunities that lead to long-term success.
Before joining the George Snow Scholarship Fund, Karlisha served as the Adult and Business Services Manager at CareerSource South Florida. In that role, she managed federally funded programs including WIOA Adult, Welfare Transition, SNAP, and Hope Florida, while also leading the business services team. She worked directly with employers, training providers, and community partners to design and implement workforce initiatives that addressed both job seeker and business needs. Her work included policy development, staff training, and performance oversight to ensure compliance and strong outcomes.
Karlisha’s earlier experience includes managing regional workforce alignment efforts with CareerRise in Atlanta, supervising youth employment programs at WorkSource DeKalb, and delivering career readiness training at WorkSource Atlanta Regional. She holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Northwood University, a Bachelor of Health Service in Health Care Administration from Florida Atlantic University, and a Grant Writing Certification from Palm Beach State College. Her background equips her to support scholars in exploring career pathways, connecting with employers, and building the skills needed to succeed in today’s workforce.
