Wish this blog had a drum roll because we are so excited to announce this year’s brave and mighty dancers who will compete in the 12th annual Boca Ballroom Battle for the George Snow Scholarship Fund!
This is not an easy commitment for anyone, and almost all who say “yes” suffer various degrees of fear and trepidation at the prospect of performing in front of 750 people.
There is also something hugely rewarding about doing something that scares you, and pulling it off. Not to mention raising real money for deserving kids awarded scholarships for their own version of determination and courage.
Today, as a former dancer who was quaking in her heels for about five months (and ended up having on of the best experiences of her life!) I salute each and every one of you, and I invite all of our friends and readers to jump on the bandwagon and support the dancer(s) of your choice. The event is Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Boca Raton Resort &Club,
Here are this year’s superstars:
Margaret L. Blume—Philanthropist
