On December 16, 2016, the George Snow Scholarship Fund and the community of Boca Raton lost one of its great ladies after a courageous battle with cancer. Three years later to the day, the Veccia Family tragically lost their son, Brian Veccia. Mary, Brian and the Veccia and Babione families are our organization’s most loyal and enthusiastic supporters. While Mary and Brian were here on this earth they humbly and modestly filled our world with countless acts of service. This legacy will live on in their family and the students who have benefited from their generosity. The Scholarship Fund family is deeply saddened with loss of both Mary and Brian, but rejoices that they are reunited with each other and family in Heaven, as they celebrate eternal life with our Lord.
Their memory lives on through the creation of the endowed Mary Babione Veccia & Brian Veccia Memorial Scholarship Fund. This substantial scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving female student who embodies the same spirit of service to others that Mary Babione Veccia & Brian Veccia had throughout their short lives.
