Garvey Antoine is a first-generation college graduate and dedicated community builder, passionate about youth empowerment, justice, and fostering strong, inclusive communities. Born in Broward County, Florida, and raised in Boca Raton from early elementary school, Garvey is the proud son of Haitian immigrants. Growing up in the culturally rich community of South Florida helped shaped his identity and deepened his commitment to equity and social impact.
In the summer of 2024, Garvey earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. His academic journey reaffirmed his dedication to justice and equality, and he is deeply committed to using his education to uplift others.
Garvey has worked with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club and PROPEL, where he mentored youth and helped cultivate environments of encouragement and possibility. Through these experiences, he discovered the power of belief and resilience, and he remains devoted to inspiring young people to see beyond their challenges and embrace their full potential.
As he steps into his role as a Scholar Services Coordinator, Garvey is determined to support students navigating the college process. Having once stood in the shoes of many Snow Scholars, he brings empathy, experience, and drive to his work. Garvey is not only committed to guiding students but also to learning from them, continuing his lifelong journey of growth and service.
