Joneldina Bazou
Scholar Services Coordinator

Dina Bazou is an Alumna of the George Snow Scholarship Fund and now serves as a Scholar Services Coordinator to support fellow Snow Scholars. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with double minors in Spanish and Environmental Studies.

Joneldina strongly believes in the power of community support to transform underserved communities. As a proud recipient of the Hometown Hero Scholarship from the George Snow Scholarship Fund, she brings a deep, personal understanding of the needs of Snow Scholars and is committed to centering those needs in all aspects of her work.

She has extensive experience serving both local and global communities. During her undergraduate years at Middlebury College, she worked as a Residential Assistant for three years, connecting students with academic, professional, and social resources. She also served as a Student Ambassador, helping bridge the gap between higher education and underserved or rural communities. In addition, she worked as a Public Speaking Coach, helping students find their voice and express themselves with authenticity and confidence.

Internationally, Joneldina taught English to elementary school students in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where she cultivated skills in cultural understanding, humility, and reciprocity.

She values cross-cultural communication and is fluent in Haitian Creole, French, Spanish, and Portuguese which allows her to connect meaningfully with people from diverse backgrounds.

As a first-generation college graduate, Joneldina is passionate about honoring the legacy of those who came before her. She is committed to meeting students where they are and supporting them in achieving their educational and personal goals.
