After 34 years, Tim Snow has a host of donors who give or pledge to The George Snow Scholarship Fund named after his late father.

“We’ve given away more than $600,000 in scholarships,” this year alone, said board chairman Richard Murdoch.
Torrey Green, an art teacher at Don Estridge High Tech Middle School, told his story about how the fund starting helping him with scholarship money in 1995.
“Tim is a wonderful man and has done so much to help me over 21 years,” he said.
“It’s a joy to belong to something bigger than yourself and reach back and give a hand up to someone else,” said Kristi Jackson, who received a scholarship in 1982. A marketing professional, she now helps review applicants and is a trustee.
“This organization is so much more than the sum of its parts,” Snow said.
