What types of volunteer opportunities are available?

We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including event roles, administrative support, Scholar services, fundraising, and community outreach. Check our “Volunteer” page for all volunteer opportunities we offer. 

How can I become a volunteer?

To become a volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator whose information is on the “Volunteer” page on our website.  

Is there a minimum age requirement to volunteer?

Yes, our minimum age requirement is generally 16 years old. We do make exceptions for volunteers under 16, but they will need parental supervision. Some roles may have different age requirements, so please check specific listings for details. 

Do I need any special skills or experience to volunteer?

While some roles may require specific skills, many of our opportunities are designed for individuals with no prior experience. We provide training and support to help you succeed in your volunteer role. 

How much time do I need to commit as a volunteer?

We appreciate any time you can offer! Some roles may require a specific commitment while others are more flexible. Check the descriptions for each opportunity for details. 

Can I receive community service hours for my volunteer work?

Yes! We are happy to provide documentation of your volunteer hours, which can be used for community service/school requirements. Be sure to keep track of your hours, and we’ll assist you with any necessary paperwork. 

How do I track my volunteer hours?

We encourage volunteers to track their own hours. We can also provide documentation of your service upon request. 

Are there any costs associated with volunteering?

Volunteering with us is free. Certain events might require specific attire or technology, but it will always be provided. 

Is there a no alcohol rule during volunteering?

Yes, we maintain a strict no alcohol policy during all volunteer activities. This ensures a safe and respectful environment for everyone involved. 

Will I receive training?

Yes! We provide training for specific volunteer roles (usually when a volunteer is using technology) to ensure you feel confident and prepared. Training details will be provided after you’ve been placed in a role. 

What should I do if I can’t make it to my shift?

Please notify the Volunteer Coordinator as soon as possible.
