We are excited to announce our plans to offer over 100 scholarships in Broward County to the graduating senior class of 2026!   

Qualified candidates must be high school seniors with financial need from a Broward County-based high school.  

Applications Available: November 1st, 2025 – February 1st, 2026

About the Scholarship

Who Qualifies?

  • Must be a high school senior 

  • Must attend a Broward County high school

  • Must have financial need

  • No minimum GPA requirements

  • No minimum ACT/SAT score requirements

  • Can attend ANY accredited school: College, University, Technical, Trade, or Vocational School

  • Can pursue ANY major

*All home-schooled students who are zoned for attendance at any Broward County High School qualify.

What does the scholarship offer?

The belief that what we, as scholarship providers, offer to our scholars in the form of Scholar Support Services is just as, if not more valuable, than the financial commitment we make to them. Our Scholars become a part of our family and we do for them what we would all do for our own sons and daughters.

How can I apply?

  • Direct links to the application will be available on our home page and the Scholarships page when the application opens.
  • Scholarship applications open on November 1st and close on February 1st each year.
  • Applicants can work on their applications gradually. They are not expected to complete the application in one day. They can save their progress and come back to work on the application anytime within the November 1st – February 1st application cycle.
  • During the months of October, November, and December, our staff will be visiting local high schools to help seniors apply for the scholarship. Students are encouraged to ask their high school counseling departments how they can sign up for the George Snow Scholarship Fund’s presentation.

Can I receive this scholarship if I am receiving Bright Futures?

Yes.

Do I have to major in a specific field?

No, all majors are accepted!

Do I have to be a US Citizen to apply?

You do not have to be a U.S. citizen, but you cannot be undocumented.

I'm not a high school senior, can I still apply?

No, this scholarship is only available to seniors graduating from a Broward County high school. Please visit our Scholarships page to learn more about other scholarship opportunities.

Is there anything that will penalize a student's application?

Being sloppy in the application and/or not following directions. 

How can I find out more information on the application?

You can attend one of our presentations at your high school. Sign up with your high school counselor.

How long do you receive scholarship funding?

The scholarship is designed to last the entire length of your undergraduate, trade, or vocational program.

How many people per year are accepted for this scholarship?

We plan to award over 100 students.

What if I'm not from Broward County?

What documents are required to apply?

None. Reference letters are optional!
